MISTRAS Group has an immediate need for a dedicated NDT Coordinator for a full-time, nested position in Pasadena, TX.

Applicants must be able to provide the following Documents:

  • High School Diploma/GED/Degree
  • Proof of classroom hours/Training in NDT
  • Previous level II certifications/OJT

Required Responsibilities/Activities

  • Must be willing to act on behalf of a Quality Management Analyst when needed
  • Help coordinate and execute FEAS assignments
  • Step into NDE craft work when crews are busy to keep the job moving
  • Flexibility is essential during outages, emergency work, and periods of heavy inspection demand
  • Must be able to navigate refinery drawings, prepare documentation packages, and maintain organized electronic records.
  • Must be able to judge incoming requests, determine justified work, and keep technicians aligned with real priorities
  • The role requires keeping Maintenance moving without delays, bad scheduling, or unauthorized work, while maintaining a steady hand over reports, requests, and technician utilization

Major Responsibilities/ Activities

  • Oversee daily Construction NDE activities
  • Keep technician availability aligned with priority work
  • Schedule NDE and RT assignments
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Set up and calibrate equipment
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
  • Interpret, evaluate and document
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I
  • Must be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely

  • Edit and present numerical data effectively

Minimum Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Level II MT, PT, UTT-ISQ Certifications
  • Additional certifications preferred e.g RT, RTFI, VT, CWI, API 510, API 570, API 653
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for the following is required: MT/PT/UTT
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, AutoCad, QMDB, and BlueBeam highly preferred.
