Built on a foundation of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results, we are looking for a skilled and motivated NDT Administrator. The NDT Administrator is responsible for supporting and coordinating non-destructive testing (NDT) activities and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, customer requirements, and company procedures. This role involves managing documentation, scheduling inspections, maintaining personnel qualification and certification records, and ensuring proper calibration and maintenance records for NDT equipment. The NDT Administrator must maintain a working knowledge of applicable NDT methods sufficient to effectively coordinate NDT activities and communicate with qualified NDT personnel. The NDT Administrator works closely with Level I, II, and III personnel to support the efficient execution of NDT operations and ensure accurate reporting and recordkeeping.


As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts – including standard day shifts, 2nd shift, weekend shifts, and 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be flexible and willing to be assigned to any shift based on operational needs.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinate the availability of qualified personnel, equipment, and materials required to support NDT inspections.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors, project managers, and stakeholders to prioritize and plan NDT activities
  • Allocate personnel, equipment, and materials for NDT inspections
  • Monitor resource availability and utilization to ensure timely and efficient inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of NDT inspections and equipment calibrations and coordinate with Training and the responsible Level III as needed regarding NDT personnel training, qualification, and certification requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation is current and compliant with regulatory and company standards
  • Coordinate with Quality Control and qualified NDT personnel to support compliance with approved procedures, applicable standards, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in audits and inspections and support the documentation, tracking, and closure of identified non-conformities and corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external communication regarding NDT activities
  • Facilitate effective communication among NDT technicians, inspectors, project managers, and customers
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable NDT methods, including Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Eddy Current Testing (ET), sufficient to support scheduling, coordination, documentation, and communication with qualified NDT personnel.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable FAA, EASA, customer, and industry requirements affecting NDT activities and associated documentation.
  • May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Working knowledge of commonly used NDT methods, including Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Eddy Current Testing (ET), is required. Current or previous Level II qualification in one or more NDT methods is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English, including following verbal and written instructions. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; excellent communication skills including excellent leadership, two-way communication, judgement, creativity, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying technical data
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities; ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies
  • Current of previous Level II qualifications in one or more NDT methods

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. 
  • Requires frequent walking, climbing and lifting, bending, reaching to shoulder level, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. 
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:  

  • Aircraft maintenance hangar, maintenance offices, flightline.
    • Exposure to high-intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery. 

OTHER DUTIES:  

  • May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate
  • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.
