Position: Cell Technician
Role: NDT Level II Radiographic (X-Ray Non-Film) Technician
Location: 330 Governors Highway, South Windsor, CT 06074
Company: Electro-Methods, a Stronvar Aerospace Company


Overview

The NDT Level II Radiographic Technician (NAS 410 Certified) performs and evaluates radiographic inspections to ensure the integrity of critical aerospace components. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a technical environment and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role supports:
โ€ข Creation of standard work
โ€ข Maintaining standard work
โ€ข Training and coaching of standard work
โ€ข Improvement of standard work


Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Perform radiographic inspections in line with NAS 410, company procedures, and customer requirements.
โ€ข Set up, calibrate, and operate X-ray non-film equipment.
โ€ข Interpret and evaluate results, documenting findings with precision.
โ€ข Conduct inspections of welds (EB, GTAW).
โ€ข Train and mentor Level I and trainee personnel in best practices.
โ€ข Maintain compliance with AS9100, FAA, and other aerospace quality standards.
โ€ข Support cross-training across additional NDT methods when needed.
โ€ข Operate other equipment in the cell as necessary to keep product flowing at takt.


Required Qualifications & Skills

Required
โ€ข Current NDT Level II Radiography (X-ray non-film) certification to NAS 410 (other equivalent standards may be considered).
โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent.
โ€ข Solid understanding of radiographic inspection techniques, safety, and equipment use.
โ€ข Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
โ€ข Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.


Additional Information

Preferred
โ€ข Previous aerospace or industrial inspection experience.
โ€ข Multi-method NDT experience (PT, UT, MT, ET).
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
