Job description

Job Summary Perform Radiographic Weld inspection. Processes hardware in accordance with internal, customer and/or industry requirements. Evaluates and interprets the quality of applicable fusion weld, machined and forged products to meet company and customer specifications. Supports other NDT personnel; provides guidance to and mentors trainees; and Level I and II Technicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs proper warm up and system performance checks of NDT equipment.
  • Maintains daily, monthly logs and applicable records to assure traceability of components.
  • Performs interpretations and evaluations of NDT results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Is responsible for writing work instructions and other documentation.
  • May perform and/or participate in NDT system, customer, internal and NADCAP audits.
  • Provides on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and NDT Level I and II personnel.
  • May perform level I duties in addition to level II duties.
  • Shall comply with other duties as assigned.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • This job description is not all inclusive of all duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent, plus successful completion of ASNT Level I, II courses.
  • Requires documentation demonstrating completion of at least the minimum hours of formal training and experience for each NDT method requiring certification. These hours are required to meet the minimum requirements of SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410 rev. 4. Candidates familiar with SNT-TC 1A, NAS-410, AWS, ASTM, Boeing, Rolls Royce, Lockheed Martin a plus.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Qualifications are based on SNT TC-1A and NAS 410.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the scope and limitations of NDT methods
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
  • Experience with stainless steel alloys, titanium, aluminum.
  • Familiar with NADCAP audits.
  • Must pay close attention to detail and be accurate.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal interface across organizational levels.
