Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Manager 2, Program Planning on our Schedule Management team. This leadership role is located on-site in Melbourne, FL. This position must be onsite every day and have an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage a team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts
  • Perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews
  • Develop direct team knowledge and depth
  • Prepares, develops and coordinates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives.
  • Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated.
  • Provides weekly status and reporting
  • Conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
  • Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
    • DCMA 14-point
    • IPMR DI-MGMT-81861
    • NDIA EIA-748 32 Guidelines
    • Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
    • Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
    • Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
    • Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
  • Performing detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis and make recommendations to solve problems
  • Creating presentation content and present to various levels of leadership
  • Working effectively with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience; OR Master's degree with 5 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience OR Associate's Degree with 9 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 11 years of Planning & Scheduling, Program Cost Schedule Control, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering Scheduling experience

  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk

  • Experience and knowledge in both EV Cost and Schedule Management

  • Experience with the Assessment (SRA) approach and execution

  • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated US government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server environment

  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
