Church Name: Sandhills Alliance Church

Church Location: Pinehurst, NC

Description of Position: The church is seeking a lead pastor who is motivated to growing a church in a rapidly growing community, plus disciple and shepherd the congregation to be outward focused.

Description of Church's Location: The Village of Pinehurst, which is in Moore County, NC, is famous for its Golf course resort. It is also located approximately 21/2 hours from the mountains of NC and the NC shore. Approximately 40% of the community are retirees but it and the surrounding towns have a large presence of military families. There are younger families moving into the community near the church building.

  • A good listener and effective communicator
  • Strong preaching and teaching the Word of God skill from the pulpit as well as in small groups and one-to-one conversations
  • A visionary leader who cultivates enthusiasm within the congregation, delegating effectively and motivating others to ministry and service
  • Proficient in relating to a multigenerational congregation of believers as well as those at various stages of spiritual growth.
  • Called to minister and grow a congregation.

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s degree minimum, Masters preferred.

Minimum Credential Level: Must be eligible for C&MA license and willing to begin the Alliance ordination process

Minimum Years of Experience: The ideal candidate has five to ten years of experience in pastoral ministry.

Church Size: Sunday attendance averages around 50-60 congregants.

Church History: Sandhills Alliance Church is approximately 42 years old, planted in 1984. The congregation is friendly and welcoming. The current pastor is ready for retirement, and he has guided the search committee to begin their process to seek out their next pastor.
