Job description

Come work for us as a FEDERAL EMPLOYEE and help support our mission by providing customers with quality goods and services at a savings and to support quality of life programs for active-duty military, retirees, reservists and their families.
Job Summary:
Performs a variety of clerical duties in connection with the preparation and processing of maintenance work orders maintenance of fixed asset records statistical data sheets purchase orders etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs all or a combination of the following duties:
  • Receives and reviews work requests which indicate originator department date of request nature of work to be performed. Prepares repair order and maintains master work order register. Extends and totals completed work orders indicating labor charges equipment or material used hours worked location work order number etc.
  • Maintains fixed asset records. Receives reviews and or prepares Equipment Requisition Forms.
  • Contacts Public Works Department for repairs to buildings and or equipment which is part of station owned buildings contacts contractor responsible for servicing equipment.
  • Prepares Maintenance Department Statistical Data Sheet prepares administrative Labor Analysis Form by department.
  • Prepares and processes purchase order requests. Refers to applicable catalog to extract nomenclature of items. Maintains listing of local vendors and manufacturers.
  • Processes Reports of Goods Received RGRs.
  • Maintains timecards for associates assures leave slips are properly completed and signed maintains payroll and personnel records current and up to date.
  • Types a variety of material including correspondence reports repair work orders equipment request forms etc.
  • May participate in periodic inventories.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor who makes assignments and provides assistance and guidance on unusual problems. Exercises judgment and discretion in accomplishing duties and performs responsibilities within prescribed policies and procedures. Completed work is reviewed for accuracy and for efficiency of operations.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE
  • 1 year progressively responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.

AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
  • 1 year progressively responsible experience performing clerical or administrative support duties or experience in a related area which demonstrates the ability to perform the work of the position.

OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
  • 1 - 2 year academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 6 months of 1 year of general and 1 year specialized.
