Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant – Supply Chain

Overview

We are seeking a Business Central Supply Chain Consultant to help manufacturers optimize planning, procurement, and inventory operations using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This role focuses on supply chain planning, purchasing, inventory optimization, and forecasting for food and beverage manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client workshops to understand supply chain processes and planning requirements
  • Configure Business Central modules including:
    • Purchasing
    • Demand planning
    • MRP / planning worksheets
    • Inventory replenishment
    • Vendor management
  • Implement and configure:
    • reorder policies
    • safety stock
    • planning parameters
    • supply chain workflows
  • Support integration with forecasting tools and planning systems
  • Assist clients in improving inventory turns and supply planning
  • Configure and test supply chain data including:
    • vendors
    • item sourcing
    • planning parameters
  • Deliver training to procurement and planning teams
  • Support data migration, testing, and go-live
  • Provide post-implementation optimization and advisory services

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years implementing Business Central or Dynamics NAV
  • Strong background in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory planning
  • Experience configuring:
    • MRP / planning worksheet
    • purchasing workflows
    • replenishment policies
  • Experience working directly with supply chain or procurement teams
  • Ability to analyze supply chain data and workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing or distribution
  • Familiarity with:
    • forecasting systems
    • demand planning
    • inventory optimization
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP)
  • Experience with forecasting platforms or supply chain planning tools

Travel

  • Primarily remote with occasional client visits
