Help us turn raw materials into possibility
Imagine a classroom where creativity catches fire. For over 100 years, AMACO has supplied the clay, glazes, and equipment that make that moment possible. From our Brickyard manufacturing hub, we’re looking for a NAV Production Data & Inventory Control Analyst to translate shop‑floor activity into accurate ERP records and ensure materials flow without friction.
What success looks like
You anticipate material needs before they slow a kiln, reconcile a mismatch before it reaches Accounts Payable, and publish production paperwork that operators trust. You’re the calm center when NAV questions arise—resolving issues, coordinating enhancements, and partnering across teams.
Key outcomes
- Act as the primary contact for Microsoft Dynamics NAV: daily support, projects, and upgrades.
- Ensure order reconciliation between NAV and Accounts Payable is timely and accurate.
- Maintain inventory health—analyze component availability; perform reconciliations.
- Absorb new software tools quickly (MS Dynamics NAV, Jet Reports) and apply them to improve processes and reporting.
- Spot‑check replenished items to confirm they’re in the correct bins/locations.
- Publish reliable production order reports: completions, scrap, and labor hours.
- Alert Supply Chain to shortages/excesses; protect throughput and lead times.
- Receive parts into stock with complete, correct documentation.
- Plan and track material movement to sustain continuous operations and meet lead‑time expectations.
- Release picks, work instructions, and QC documents for production orders.
- Perform cycle count activities and related investigations.
- Partner with peers to troubleshoot; take on special assignments and other duties as required.
- Execute additional tasks assigned by the Assistant Manager; operate under a division supervisor and, at times, a crew leader.
Required capabilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1+ year of Microsoft NAV transactions preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong data entry accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making; solid basic math.
- Ability to work in hot environments and lift 50–75 lbs occasionally.
