What You're Great At:

  • Enjoy sharing a working knowledge of produce and seasonal products.
  • Maximize sales potential through actively planning, executing, and maintaining attractive, fully stocked, rotated, and faced product in appropriate locations.
  • Knowledgeable about produce standards, cutting, handling, safety, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; focused customer service orientation; ability to build relationships and effectively lead a team.
  • Assist customers with questions and product selection by suggestive selling.

A Day in the Life:

  • Ability to examine products for quality and freshness and have working knowledge of department offerings.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage, according to specific product requirement.
  • Manage deliveries for damage, quality control, accuracy and note any discrepancies.
  • Set the highest standards in quality for products sold. Establish best practices for department.
  • Ensure that retail and back stock areas are managed properly and maintained in a clean, orderly condition, meeting all health department standards.
  • Open to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
