Job description

Position Summary:

The Senior DevOps Engineer is primally responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling our DevOps infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across development pipelines and production environments in AWS Cloud. This role is also responsible for the setup, configuration and management of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications, including performing both typical CNC activities such as environment installation and upgrading, performance tuning, package builds, security setup as well as identifying and solving information and technological challenges relating to EnterpriseOne. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Environment Setup & Cloud Infrastructure
    Set up and administer environments (Dev, QA, UAT, PROD) in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible. Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure) focusing on high availability, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Engineering & Deployment
    Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD. Deploy and manage serverless, VM-based, and containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS).
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting
    Monitor and troubleshoot AWS environments using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
  • DevSecOps & Security Automation
    Automate security practices using tools such as Snyk, Checkov, Trivy within CI/CD pipelines. Manage application patching and vulnerability remediation
  • Multi-Platform CI/CD Management
    Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for SaaS, PaaS, and custom applications across on-prem and cloud platforms (e.g., Salesforce, MuleSoft, Snowflake).
  • Collaboration & Agile Practices
    Collaborate with developers for smooth code integration and deployments. Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks using Jira and follow ITIL change management processes via ServiceNow.
  • DevOps Strategy & Transformation
    Lead and drive DevOps, DataOps, and ML/AI Ops initiatives across the organization. Promote and implement Agile methodologies throughout the SDLC.
Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8 years' Experience with DevOps & Cloud
Knowledge and Skills:

Required:

  • Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD,).
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Route53, RDS, etc.
  • Hands-on with Kubernetes in production (preferably EKS) and Docker.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Deep understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, and GitOps principles.
  • Monitoring and logging experience with tools like Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
  • Strong focus on security – experience with DevSecOps, vulnerability scanning tools (Snyk, Aqua, Twistlock).

Preferred:

  • Experience in managing deployments on ERP platforms (Oracle), Salesforce, UiPath, MuleSoft, Snowflake.
