Are you a charismatic, inspirational leader with a GO-GETTER attitude? We are looking for the person who was the natural captain in gym classthe mentor who balances a take-charge attitude with the ability to make every team member feel essential. As a Head Coach, you will run the "beyond the glass" operations, including hiring, training fitness pros, and driving community outreach to change lives physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Annual Compensation Range: Approximately $51,000 to $72,000 (comprised of per-class, hourly, and special incentives).
  • Rates: $30 to $85 per class; $17 to $23 per hour for client management, outreach, and recruiting.

A Day in the Life of a Head Coach
Morning: High-Energy Coaching

  • Coach 8 to 12 classes per week, inspiring members through heart-rate-focused training.
  • Ensure member safety by providing form corrections on the rower, tread, and weight floor.
  • Review daily schedules and coach availability to ensure the studio is "Orange Zone" ready.
Mid-Day: Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new fitness professionals to join your team.
  • Conduct coach evaluations using the Coach Interaction Scorecard to pinpoint growth opportunities.
  • Lead coach workshops and skill drills to maintain high Orangetheory standards.
Afternoon: Community Activation
  • Spend 12 to 18 hours weekly on community outreach, marketing, and customer care.
  • Analyze studio KPIs (Closing %, retention, workout traffic) to tell the "data story" of your studios success.
  • Collaborate with the Studio Manager on event planning and B2B relationship building.
Certification Requirements
Candidates must hold at least one of the following approved PROCTORED certifications:

  • ACE: CPT or Group Fitness
  • NASM: CPT
  • AFAA: Group Fitness
  • NSCA: CPT or CSCS
  • ACSM: CPT, Group Exercise Instructor, or Certified Exercise Physiologist
Additional Requirements:
AED/CPR Certified.

  • Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness.
