This Management & Program Analyst (Wildland Fire - Incident Business) position is with the US Wildland Fire Service, GS-0343-13, and can be filled at one of the listed duty locations. Ensure you select all locations you wish to be considered for.

Qualifications:

In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification requirements listed below.

Only experience and education obtained by 08/24/2026 will be considered.

Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. Please be sure to include this information in your resume. No assumptions will be made about your experience.
Minimum Qualification

For the GS-13 level: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 in the Federal service. Examples of work experience include, but are not limited to: experience in fire business, budget coordination, and preparation of financial packets for higher level management officials; performing duties in response to management request to analyze problems and issues; prepares detailed action plans and schedules for long and short-range project accomplishment and ensures that plans are consistent with agency goals and policies; or experience in preparing briefings, executive summaries, decision memorandra, etc. on complex analyses.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Demands: Work is primarily performed in an office or virtual environment and is generally sedentary. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, site visits, or program reviews. During periods of elevated activity, the incumbent may work extended hours to meet mission-driven deadlines.
Working Conditions: Work is normally performed in an office or virtual environment with standard workplace conditions. Occasional travel to operational or interagency locations may involve varying weather and mission conditions consistent with safety requirements.
