Sales Development Manager - Remote Req ID: 48955 Job Location (Short): Indianapolis, IN, USA | Ames, IA, USA | Dallas, TX, USA | Des Moines, IA, USA | Milwaukee, WI, USA | Omaha, USA Employment Type: Full Time Segment: Danfoss Power Solutions Segment Job Category: Sales Work Location Type: Remote Impact You'll Make Danfoss is seeking a results-driven Sales Development Manager to accelerate the growth of our Power Solutions division. In this remote role, you will be the strategic driver for our Valve and Pump Solutions (VPS) product line, including spool valves, open-circuit pumps, and HIC & cartridge valves. You will be responsible for identifying and capturing new business, building strong customer relationships, and expanding our market share with our OEM accounts.

This is a key role that combines technical knowledge with commercial expertise to deliver significant results. What You'll Be Doing Collaborate with divisional sales teams to identify, pursue, and win new sales opportunities with direct OEM accounts. Develop and present compelling customer proposals and establish pricing strategies to meet profitability targets.

Act as the primary commercial and technical liaison for the VPS product line within your territory, fostering strong relationships through regular site visits. Champion new product launches, from building the initial pipeline to gathering customer feedback and conducting training. Track and report on new business growth targets, executing strategic initiatives set by sales leadership.

Serve as a customer advocate, escalating and helping resolve quality or delivery challenges by coordinating with manufacturing plant leadership. Employ value-selling techniques to articulate the Danfoss advantage and maximize our ability to win. What We're Looking For A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering is preferred; extensive equivalent industry experience will be strongly considered.

10+ years of experience in the fluid power industry, with a deep working knowledge of hydraulic circuits. Proven commercial background working directly with customers, ideally with OEMs. Specific sales experience with spool valves, open-circuit pumps, or HIC & cartridge valves is highly desirable.

Self‐motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and product lines concurrently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting both technical and commercial material. Ability to travel 25-50% to customer sites and Danfoss facilities.
