Summary
THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION
This position is part of the IN 181st Intelligence Wing, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D1646P01.

Duties
Help
  • Supervises through subordinate work leaders or supervisors three or more sections of Intelligence Operations Specialists, each
    sections containing a base level of GS-11.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the subordinate ISR unit crew members.
  • Exercises responsibility for oversight of various unit activities and operations.
  • Serves as a ISR unit crew commander, responsible and accountable for all facets of ISR unit operations and production.
  • Directs multi-INT correlation of data from multiple intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and intelligence
    products.
  • Provides input on performance evaluation, career guidance, and technical assistance to full-time and traditional intelligence
    personnel.
  • Reviews and approves post-mission reports containing the analysis derived from each exploitation function.
  • Assures ISR unit crews maintain the capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained
    intelligence personnel during exercises and contingency operations.
  • Recognized as an organization expert within functional assignment.
  • Coordinates ISR unit crew training requirements with gaining command intelligence section.
  • Plans, organizes, establishes, and manages the methodology for deployment and conduct of intelligence operations during
    contingency operations.
  • Prepares and manages the budgeting of fiscal resources for the ISR unit.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MILITARY GRADES: O1 through O4
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Extensive experience with intelligence work performed within the unit involving the collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of information on military conditions, trends and forces in foreign and domestic areas that directly or indirectly affect the national security. Possess and exercise thorough and current knowledge of force-level intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations necessary to plan, conduct, and assess aerospace operations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Must have at least 12 months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.

The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is the final approval for all ETP waivers. If approved, the memorandum will be returned to you and then submitted with your application.

Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position. Contact the INNG HR Office for information about this policy. TAG is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to federal employees or those with a 90-day break in service). This must be approved prior to your appointment date.
