What You’ll Do:

  • Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
  • Operate EWP cutting machinery with training and safety guidelines.
  • Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
  • Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk)
  • Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
  • Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
  • Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
  • Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks
  • Experience operating cutting machinery
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work independently at times under pressure
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
  • Safe work record and stable work history

The fixed starting pay range is $25-$27.75 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. BlueLinx also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month, 15 days of paid time off that start accruing your first day, and 8 paid holidays per year.
