We are looking for a Sr Principal Product Manager, Sports Commerce to drive highly cross-functional commerce initiatives across Disney Entertainment and ESPN. This role will sit at the intersection of sports fandom and commerce, with a focus on driving growth and revenue. This role will report to the VP, Product - Commerce.

This is an individual contributor role with significant scope, influence, and executive visibility. You will lead complex, multi-team efforts-balancing the development of a scalable horizontal commerce platform and user flows with the differentiated needs of sports. This role will be responsible for improving acquisition, monetization, and retention through thoughtful, high-impact product strategy and execution.

What You'll Do
  • Lead end-to-end product strategy for sports commerce, identifying the highest-impact opportunities to drive growth across acquisition, monetization, and retention.
  • Serve as the product point of view for the broader sports commerce roadmap.
  • Balance platform-scale thinking with vertical-specific needs, ensuring sports use cases are well-served without fragmenting the core commerce stack.
  • Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Analytics, and partner product teams, often without direct authority.
  • Define clear product vision, problem statements, and roadmaps for initiatives such as:

Sports-related subscription flows and upgrades

Bundles, add-ons, and premium access

Retention and re-engagement mechanics for sports fans

  • Establish success metrics and measurement frameworks, and own outcomes, not just outputs.
  • Make principled tradeoffs between speed, impact, complexity, and long-term strategy.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with senior leaders, synthesizing complex information into actionable decisions.
What We're Looking For
  • 12+ years of product management or product leadership experience, ideally in consumer media, sports, commerce, or subscription businesses.
  • Proven ability to lead highly cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution-you can zoom out to define vision and zoom in to ship.
  • Experience building or scaling commerce, payments, subscription, or monetization platforms.
  • Deep understanding of consumer acquisition, pricing, and retention dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills; comfortable operating with ambiguity and navigating complex org structures.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience defining metrics, running experiments, and using insights to drive decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree required
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with sports content or fandom-driven products.
  • Background in platform product management and consumer experiences supporting multiple verticals.
  • Familiarity with bundling strategies, promotions, or partner integrations.
  • Experience operating in large, matrixed organizations.

The base salary for this position in California is $$207,400.00-$278,100.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
