About the Role:

The Warehouse Worker II plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory control, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing and processing shipments, and ensuring that all goods are handled safely and efficiently. The role requires close collaboration with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a smooth workflow. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent errors and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Warehouse Worker II contributes to the overall success of the supply chain by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment with demonstrated skills in inventory control, shipping/receiving, and picking/packing.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic computer skills to use inventory management software.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in forklift operation or other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate inventory control by tracking stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and updating inventory management systems.
  • Handle shipping and receiving duties, including inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and preparing outgoing shipments according to company standards.
  • Pick and pack orders efficiently and accurately to meet customer specifications and delivery deadlines.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move goods within the facility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Skills:

The required skills of inventory control, shipping/receiving, and picking/packing are utilized daily to ensure accurate tracking and movement of goods within the warehouse. Inventory control skills help maintain precise stock levels and prevent discrepancies, which is critical for operational efficiency. Shipping and receiving skills are applied to verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all products meet quality and quantity standards.
