RICHMOND RACEWAY
Founded in 1946, Richmond Raceway is America's Premier Short Track. The venue annually hosts a NASCAR race weekend on the iconic ¾-mile D-shaped oval. Richmond Raceway is a regional leader for events including sports, live music, and consumer trade shows. The Richmond Raceway Complex's 1,100 plus acre multipurpose facility hosts more than 200 live events over 280 event days annually, including concerts with top national recording artists at Virginia Credit Union LIVE!, the region's only covered amphitheater.
NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of a General Maintenance based at Richmond Raceway.
Summary
This position is responsible for the routine preventative maintenance, repairs and track services duties. Operating a variety of equipment. Basic office systems knowledge including but not limited to computer systems and programs, and cellular phone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs all preventive maintenance functions including some electrical, plumbing and HVAC maintenance/repairs related to building maintenance.
  • Welds, cuts and fabricates.
  • Tests repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
  • Requisitions parts and equipment with Supervisors approval.
  • Keeps records and reports.
  • Provides general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Employee will be responsible for track preparation, maintenance, and restoration.
  • Track cleaning (sweeping, blowing, applying and picking up absorbent, washing/scrubbing fluids off of the track, etc.).
  • General maintenance around the facility, including painting.
  • Ability to operate and maintain many different pieces of equipment including vehicles, lifts, and other heavy machinery.
  • Installing and storing signage throughout the property.
  • Assist with fleet management and inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two (2) years' experience and/or training in building services or business operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utilities, and facility maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform hands-on work and safely move equipment and materials.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required for events.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing and meet clean driving record criteria
