We are currently looking for a Branch Manager to join our St. Joseph branch team.
Job Summary:
Our Branch Managers are responsible for leading branch operations, developing team performance, fostering a culture of accountability, and delivering exceptional customer experiences that support NASB's commitment to personal and relationship banking.

This role is ideal for a leader who values people development, takes pride in operational excellence, and believes strong performance comes from doing the right things the right way.
You will be instrumental to the success of NASB by:
  • Leading a strong branch team and fostering a positive, accountable, and customer-focused culture aligned with NASB values.
  • Delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience by ensuring team members take ownership of customer relationships from start to finish.
  • Hiring, coaching, developing, and retaining Universal Bankers and Assistant Managers to build a highly engaged and high-performing team.
  • Providing ongoing feedback, guidance, and development opportunities to strengthen individual and team performance.
  • Setting clear expectations and driving branch performance through consistent execution of the service model, meaningful customer conversations, and relationship-based solutions.
  • Monitoring branch performance and identifying opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Overseeing daily branch operations, including transaction accuracy, workflow management, staffing, scheduling, and productivity.
  • Maintaining compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance program.
  • Ensuring operational integrity through effective oversight of security procedures, cash controls, audits, and risk management practices.
  • Managing branch resources and budget responsibly while identifying opportunities to improve processes and the overall customer experience.
  • Representing NASB within the community and supporting local outreach and engagement efforts.
You will be instrumental to the success of NASB by having:
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Five or more years of banking or financial services experience required.
  • Previous leadership and people management experience required.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • A strong commitment to customer service, relationship building, and creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • The ability to balance people leadership with operational oversight and business performance objectives.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound judgment, decision-making ability, and a high level of accountability and professionalism.
  • A thorough understanding of retail banking products, deposit accounts, and financial services.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and core banking systems.
  • Strong cash-handling skills, including the ability to accurately identify currency denominations.
  • Ability to work branch hours Monday through Friday with alternate Saturday mornings.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between branch locations as needed.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) and conduct computer work for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in person, over the phone, and through electronic channels.
  • Credit and background checks will be required.
