Job description

JOB TITLE: Delivery Driver  

EMPLOYER: Nackard Pepsi, Flagstaff AZ 

DEPARTMENT: Operations 

REPORTS TO: Flagstaff Operations Manager 

EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon Hire 

POSITION: Full-time, Hourly, Starting pay: $27/hr, Driver Incentive Available

SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for insuring timely and accurate deliveries of product orders to various accounts in assigned territories. The position is also responsible for unloading product at the designated accounts, merchandising the products and acting as a brand ambassador for Nackard Pepsi. 

Must be 18 years of age or older. Possess a clean driving record. Possess a current, valid Arizona Class-A CDL. Be able to physically handle a large quantity of cases each weighing as much as 35 lbs. 

SCHEDULE: 

  • This job is Monday – Friday, 6am – until work is completed (Some routes require Saturdays to be worked)
  • Flexible to accommodate a 10-12 hr workday (seasonally). 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
  • Loads delivery vehicle with palettes scheduled for delivery.
  • Delivers product to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
  • Picks up product along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
  • Reports larger vehicle service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
  • Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Verifies equipment, inventory, and paperwork for the prescribed route.
  • Performs the proper check-out procedures before accepting load.
  • Performs any DOT or other company procedures before leaving company property.
  • Uses 2-wheel dolly and/or pallet jack as needed.
  • Verifies all returning items and paperwork with the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • At a minimum, must be able to lift product, weighing as much as 35 pounds, repeatedly, during a 10-12 hour work period.
  • Responsible to adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least one-month related experience or training
  • Certificates, licenses and registrations required: 
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
    • CDL Certification
    • Medical Card
  • Computer skills: Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Delivery Software (VIP)
  • Other skills required: 
    • Ability to drive safely.
    • Ability to execute delivery routes.
    • Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
