Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Sports Medicine Physician to join the CMH Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri.
This role offers a defined, ongoing relationship with Southwest Baptist University alongside a procedurally advanced clinic practice - all within a community-based setting.
The Role
Based in the Kerry & Synda Douglas Medical Office Building, the clinic provides comprehensive non-surgical musculoskeletal care for athletes of all ages and competition levels - from youth and high school athletes to university competitors and active adults. Surgical cases are easily referred to the clinic's Orthopedic Group, keeping this role focused on non-surgical sports medicine.
Procedural capabilities include:
  • Ultrasound-guided injections
  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy
  • Tenex minimally invasive tenotomy
  • COOLIEF radiofrequency treatment for pain management and recovery optimization

The physician works closely day-to-day with advanced practice providers, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and coaches - integrated into the athlete's care team.

Southwest Baptist University Partnership
Southwest Baptist University is an NCAA Division II institution competing in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The SBU relationship is a genuine differentiator for this role. Responsibilities include:
  • Sideline coverage at SBU home football games shared with Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon
  • Review and approval of athletic protocols for SBU and CMH's internal athletic trainer team
