Job description

Cloud Security Engineer! To start we are only looking for candidates right now that can sit on our W2 on a referral basis, per clients request (No C2C), and only candidates in San Antonio, TX preferably or candidates willing to travel to San Antonio, TX for 4 days out of the week. For referral fees, I am just looking to stay in the green so right now I am open to seeing your proposed referral fee + candidate rate and will negotiate, if needed from there.
Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer
Contract length: 6-month contract to hire.
Schedule: M-F standard 8-hour workday/40-hour workweeks
Location: San Antonio, TX (4 days onsite/1 day remote)
Accepted work auth: USC or GCH
Interview Process: 2 rounds - initial phone screen then panel IV via Teams/Zoom
Rate:$62/hr on W2
Key Requirements:
  • Strong Core Values: Seeking a team player with a strong work ethic, good personal skills, and a sense of humor - this was huge for them
  • Soft skills: excellent communication and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Security Expertise: Specifically, experience with securing cloud migrations, Azure environment security, and reporting/alerting to the CSOC (Cybersecurity Operations Center).
    • We NEED someone with the cloud migration experience and a focus on security
Must Haves
  • Experience with NSG (Network Security Groups) and ASG (Application Security Groups) configurations.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Bicep.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud alerting systems and tuning them for CSOC.
  • Expertise in KQL (Kusto Query Language) for querying Azure data. (SQL might be in lieu of)
  • Familiarity with Azure Policy Tool for governance purposes
  • Hands-On Engineering Experience: Preferably someone with direct involvement in large-scale cloud migration projects
