Sr. Project Manager

Hartford, CT

Long-term Contract

The Client is looking for a seasoned Project Manager (PM) to work directly with the Workforce Enablement team to deliver an Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) solution. The PM will be responsible for ensuring the deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate resources for the deliver of a ITSM solution
  • Ensure that all project milestones and deliverables are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope and schedule using appropriate verification techniques
  • Prepare reports for management and the stakeholders regarding the status of the project
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Communicate and provide notification of the schedule as it is developed and the impact
  • Delegate project tasks to team members as needed
  • Track project performance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and document processes as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Experience with the implementation of a service desk
  • Experience with call technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
