Job Summary
Mohawk Valley Health System(MVHS) is currently seeking BE/BC Family Medicine Physicians to join our established team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. MVHS is dedicated to supporting our physicians and Advanced Practice Providers enabling them to deliver premier healthcare to our region, while keeping patients at the focus of all we do. MVHS currently has 17 primary care offices stretching across the Mohawk Valley, with options of living in rural or urban communities. This position is a full time employed position to join our Little Falls Office. This position includes a traditional outpatient practice, with 35 patient contact hours and 5 hours of admin time per week. You would be working alongside and established team with great support.
Positon/Community Highlights
  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care resources as appropriate.
  • Trains and supervises medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate.
  • May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or other function.
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • Follows established organizational, departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.
  • Performs related duties as directed or indicated.
