Job description

Norris Auto Group, the fastest growing dealership group in Maryland and the only car dealer to be named in the Inc. 500/5000, is currently seeking a motivated Tag and Title Clerk.  We are looking for true performer; one who has a track record of surpassing customer expectations and reaching for new goals. 

Tag and Title Clerk: The Tag and Title Clerk is primarily responsible for the processing of vehicle titles by verifying title information is correct, maintaining knowledge of current laws regarding vehicle titles, and interacting with customers and regulatory agencies to resolve title issues. Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Process and re-assign titles for vehicles sold by the dealer
  • Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements.
  • Resolve titling issues through interaction with customers, dealers and regulatory agencies
  • Maintain knowledge of current DMV/MVA laws and regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpret titling regulations in each state for which vehicles are processed
  • Handle purchasing for all used vehicles through auction and wholesale by EFT or check
  • Order, monitor, and issue inventory to all stations including returning VOID tags and stickers when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
