The Rowan University Department of Music Vocal Division is now hiring a studio voice teacher to instruct undergraduate students enrolled in the music department programs, including Music Education, Vocal Performance, Bachelor of Arts, Music Therapy, the Music Minor, and the Certificate of Undergraduate Studies.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and/or Vocal Pedagogy and will have an established career as a singer or teacher in the profession. In addition, the candidate will have at least three years of experience teaching private studio voice, a strong basis in classical vocal technique with knowledge of the pronunciation of Italian, German and French diction. Piano skills and knowledge of standard classical vocal repertoire is required. Experience in teaching voice at the university level is required.

Duties: The successful candidate will teach private voice lessons to students enrolled in the vocal division and will participate in end of semester juries.

Starting Date: September 2026

Salary:

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 (after 9/1/2026) per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester, 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned by the College and Department on an as-needed basis.
