Does singing lower cortisol?

Singing, including during part-time Christmas singing roles, has been shown to reduce cortisol levels by promoting relaxation and reducing stress. This effect is often enhanced in group settings like choir performances or community events.

Who can hit all 10 octaves?

In the context of part-time Christmas singing, very few professional vocalists can naturally hit all 10 octaves, as this range is extremely rare. Most singers have a range of about 2 to 3 octaves, and achieving 10 octaves typically requires specialized vocal training and exceptional talent. For holiday performances, vocal versatility and pitch accuracy are more important than an extensive octave range.
