Piano Instructor

Classical Tones Music School is currently seeking a part-time, on-site Piano Instructor to join our team in Broomfield, CO.

The Piano Instructor will teach both individual and small-group piano lessons, adapting instruction to each student's age, experience level, learning style, and goals. Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, teaching piano technique and repertoire, incorporating music theory and ear training into instruction, and monitoring student progress.

Qualifications

  • Background in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, Music Education, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of music theory and the ability to integrate it naturally into piano instruction.
  • Experience teaching private and/or small-group piano lessons, preferably in a studio or school setting.
  • Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Patient, encouraging, and student-centered teaching style with excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual, with the ability to work on-site in Broomfield, CO.
  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Piano Performance, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience preparing students for recitals, competitions, examinations (such as Trinity College or ABRSM), or auditions is a plus.

Compensation

  • Compensation: $40 per hour (based on qualifications and experience).
