Job description

We are looking for a Music Research Coordinator for a top media & entertainment company hybrid out of their Burbank, CA offices! The Music Research team in the Company Music Group works closely with production segments across The Company on music cue sheets for their iconic brands. Our goal is to ensure the timely delivery of music reporting to performing rights organizations and interested parties worldwide for creators and publishers of music in productions presented by our world-class entertainment studios.
  • Pay rate: $31.25/hr

Responsibilities:
  • The coordinator will work on a backlog of cue sheets for various productions across multiple studio projects by performing the following tasks
  • Locate and document production titles for releases within a given period
  • Work directly with Post-Production and Production teams (internal & external) to ensure the submission of cue sheets within a given period
  • Review documents for Company ownership using internal systems
  • Review various systems to download existing cue sheets and composer agreements for analysis
  • Edit cue sheets to ensure they correctly convey ownership
  • Set up Production Headers for cue sheet uploading
  • Work with Smartsheet and other internal systems
  • Perform general song catalog administration and maintenance tasks
  • Research and analyze agreements and documentation to ensure accurate and prompt set-up and administration in The Company Music Group's publishing royalty system.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in music cue sheet preparation.
  • General music business and music publishing knowledge.
  • Organized and detailed.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Able to problem solve.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • RapidCue, Soundmouse, or other automated cue sheet program experience is a plus.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
