DescriptionResponsible for teaching private music lessons for students ages 7 - adult at the Plymouth Community Center. Coordination and scheduling of lessons provided by program supervisor, with focus on piano and guitar lessons.
This is a year-round, part-time position that includes evening and weekend hours (based on instructor availability). Average weekly hours vary, approximately 4 - 10 hours per week. Music lessons are weekly, with four sessions that take place approximately 6 weeks - 12 weeks, following the school calendar.
Essential Functions- Instruct participants during weekly 30-minute private lessons.
- Create lesson plans for each student to help them progress during the program.
- Work with program supervisor to schedule music lessons.
- Participate in program recital for the spring and fall sessions.
Qualifications- 21 years of age or older
- At least 2 years' experience teaching music lessons
- Music education or similar degree preferred
- Good organizational skills/communication skills
