We are looking for a hard-working, highly motivated individual to join our Finance and Accounting team. The Senior Accounting Manager will ensure timely compilation of complete and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies. Primary duties include strengthening financial discipline, accountability, and consistency around the financial close process, including enhancing internal controls over financial reporting. They will engage with external auditors to manage data request lists in a timely and comprehensive manner and lead recurring requests for data, including for tax compliance and insurance renewal process.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the consolidated general ledger, accounting records, and reconciliations for all entities, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and external financial reporting. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and consistency with overall corporate guidelines and management policy.
  • Responsible for the timely submission of reporting to management and to corporate including monthly, quarterly, and year-end schedules, tax reporting, insurance reporting, and internal control requirements.
  • Manage and lead the enhancement of documentation relating to internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Responsible for daily banking function, cash forecasting and annual bank audits.
  • Responsible for accurate sales reporting at the customer, territory, and product line level.
  • Responsible for system enhancements and conversions.
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are accounted for properly at all levels within the organization.
  • Manage a multi-layered team of corporate accounting staff.
  • Perform special projects and respond to ad-hoc requests from management and corporate.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA Highly Preferred
  • 5-7+ years' collective experience in Big 4 and/or a similar position. Global manufacturing experience with heavy emphasis on internal and external compliance, general ledger, financial analysis, and cost accounting, a plus.
  • Advanced PC skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general ledger reporting tools.  Proficiency in operating in an ERP environment.  Dynamics 365 experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand the context of the audience (both internal and external) and adapt communication style as necessary
  • Strong analytical capabilities as demonstrated by use of probing and thoughtful questions to ensure all relevant information is known and incorporated into decision making processes
  • Ability to plan, multi-task, collaborate, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Requires long periods of sedentary work.
  • Requires repetitive upper movement - keyboarding and monitor use.
  • May require overnight travel to manufacturing locations, Corporate Headquarters, or to complete training.
