Job description

Job Summary
The IT Technician provides hands-on support for day-to-day technology needs and works with the company's Managed Service Provider (MSP) to resolve issues. This role focuses on on-site support, equipment setup, and follow-through on open requests.
Reports To: IT Manager, Coker Tire
Essential Functions
• Provide tier 1-2 end-user support for on-site hardware (computers, printers, desk phones, scanners, and related equipment)
• Submit, track, and follow up on IT support tickets with the MSP and keep users informed on status
• Support workstation set-up and the on-boarding process (as it relates to IT) for new associates and role changes
• Assist with replacing or troubleshooting aging or non-operational on-site hardware including computers, printers, desk phones, etc.
• Maintain basic inventory records of assigned equipment and coordinate equipment moves/changes
• Help maintain IT documentation, basic system notes, and standard work instructions for recurring tasks
• Helps maintain and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices
• Provide after-hours support as needed
• Perform all tasks assigned by management

Working Conditions
• The IT Technician will be based in Sawyer, MI
• The individual in this position will spend several hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The individual may also have to do some light to moderate lifting of equipment and materials from time to time.
• Unless other arrangements are made with the supervisor, the individual in this position works a full-time schedule during our open business hours. The position may require the candidate to be available after hours and on weekends.
• Limited travel may be expected for this position.
Requirements
The successful candidate's qualifications will include:
• Associate's degree, technical training, or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of related experience and/or training in hands-on IT support
• Experience supporting IT systems and end users in a small to medium size organization preferred
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, with ability to prioritize tasks
