Job description

Who we are:

Tucker’s Performance, Las Vegas’ premier Corvette and muscle car restoration and repair shop, is looking for an exceptional technician with the experience and knowledge to keep these classics tuned and running. With 45+ years of building award winning cars for our exceptional clientele, Tucker’s is always in need of self-motivated, team-oriented technicians.

Who and what are we looking for:

Old-school Mechanic / Technician. We want a hands-on craftsman, a real diagnostician and mechanic experienced in old-school muscle (non OBD), from carb to oil pan, from control-arm to diff. We know this is a rare breed of technician nowadays, but the work and results are so much more rewarding than what most techs find on the dealership line.

If you join our team of specialists, here's a short list of what you'll be required to do:

  • Tune-ups and general maintenance (fluid & filter changes, plugs, wires, points, etc.)
  • Suspension repair and modifications
  • Diagnosing and repairing run and drivability issues (carbs, efi, ignition, trans, etc.)
  • Diagnosing and repair of transmission issues
  • Diagnosis and repair of window operation issues (manual and electric)
  • Diagnosing and repair of gauge functionality issues
  • Differential and rear gear R&R
  • That's just a bit of what you'll be involved with, there's much, much more we do for our clients! Best of all, you'll be working, almost exclusively, on rare and valuable muscle cars, hot rods, and Corvettes, we VERY seldom take in late model cars.

Additional skills we'd love to see but not required:

  • Electrical diagnosis, repair, and replacment
  • Metal fabrication
    • A great deal of our work includes fabricating pieces that are either unavailable or custom in design, so being comfortable with fabrication is a real bonus

Are you looking for long-term stability in your career?

If you're local to Las Vegas, you're that much closer to your new career, but what if you're out of the area? If you’re qualified for what we need then we’ve got a superb opportunity waiting for you when you arrive, giving you endless opportunities to start a new life in amazing Las Vegas!

Benefits:

  • Salary is commensurate with experience
    • Will range between $36,000 and $63,000 annually
    • Health insurance is available for those who choose to take advantage
      • HMO & PPO options available

Employment Type: Full Time
Years Experience: 5 - 10 years
Salary: $36,860 - $63,470 Annual
Bonus/Commission: No
