Job Description Summary

The Medical Center Security Officer provides security services for Care Team Members, patients, visitors, and our Medical Facilities. The Security Officer must have the ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with our Care Team Members and the public. Must have knowledge of security practices and protocols. The Medical Center Security Officer position involves shiftwork and some overtime.

High School Diploma, and one year of relevant experience (Security, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service, Behavioral Health, Counselor, Education, or Military).

A Bachelor’s degree or other relevant certifications may be substituted for the required work experience.

Must obtain and be able to maintain the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety certification (IAHSS) within the first year of employment.

Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License.
