Client:

  • Water / Wastewater Treatment Construction firm that is a Certified General, Mechanical, Plumbing & Pollutant Storage Contractor
  • 100% employee owned for close to 10 years

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Responsibilities for projects in the Tri-County area of Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach
  • Manage project costs and budget
  • Manage project workflow and activities
  • Weekly Site Visits and Quality Control
  • Monthly Scheduling of active projects – P6 or MS Project
  • Estimation of work packages – Structural, Mechanical, Geotechnical, DI Piping UG & AG
  • Preparation of Monthly Payment Applications
  • Site Visits and Troubleshooting of construction related issues
  • Development of Request for Information
  • Prepare reports, develop plans, and specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
  • Management of active construction permits, calling inspections and co-ordination with city building departments
  • Permitting and preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Data entry and analysis
  • Co-ordination of weekly project progress meetings
  • Preparation of meeting minutes
  • Documentation of field activities
  • Participate in field activities such as pilot testing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plants (WTP/WWTP) construction
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing mechanical process piping projects and/or Municipal Water or Wastewater treatment plants greater than $10M in contract value
  • Experience with low and high-pressure pipe systems that include liquids or gases and industrial automation/controls in the treatment of Water/Wastewater
  • Strong construction management and project management of Water/Wastewater Conveyance and treatment plants for municipal clients
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (+)
