Job description

Multimodality Technologist (CT / X-Ray) – Weekend Days     $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Full-Time | Weekend Days | Fri-Mon 8a-6:30p 

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Multimodality CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our imaging team at Pflugerville Medical Center. This full-time Day Shift opportunity offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, competitive pay, and the chance to work within Texas’ largest not-for-profit healthcare system.

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, the Multimodality Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more modalities. Imaging services are provided to ambulatory and hospital patients in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT and X-ray procedures following established imaging protocols

  • Maintain efficiency, accuracy, and image quality while meeting departmental productivity standards

  • Demonstrate knowledge of radiation dose reference levels, dose monitoring, and required actions when thresholds are exceeded

  • Utilize iSTAT point-of-care testing to obtain and assess creatinine levels when required

  • Apply AIDET principles to ensure clear communication, patient identification, and positive patient experiences

  • Prepare and position patients appropriately using proper immobilization, exposure factors, and equipment settings

  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection control, sterile technique, and hand hygiene standards

  • Ensure imaging rooms, equipment, and work areas meet quality, safety, and cleanliness standards

  • Collaborate with engineers and physicists to support optimal equipment performance

  • Obtain, verify, and document patient history, orders, pregnancy status, and exam-related information

  • Maintain accurate medical imaging records in designated electronic systems

  • Participate in inventory management and departmental quality initiatives

  • Screen patients, visitors, and staff for safe entry into imaging areas per policy

  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology or Imaging Program

Experience
  • Less than 1 year of experience required

  • Hospital or acute care experience preferred

Certifications & Licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required within 30 days of hire

  • Texas Medical Board MRT License (required unless MRI or Ultrasound-only role)

  • ARRT or ARDMS certification in two imaging modalities, CT and Xray are required
