THE POSITION
The Multimedia Subject Matter Expert (Associate) – Video Production supports Joint Multimedia Center (JMC) operations within the JSSC by providing professional video production and post-production services. This role delivers high-quality multimedia products in support of Joint Staff communications, training, and operational initiatives. The position operates under general direction and applies technical expertise in video production workflows, ensuring alignment with JCM standard operating procedures (SOPs) and mission requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide studio and field video production and post-production support for training, operational, and informational multimedia products
  • Plan, script, film, and edit video productions, including incorporation of special effects, animations, and audio enhancements
  • Operate video production equipment including cameras, lighting systems, microphones, teleprompters, and signal routing equipment
  • Produce and edit multimedia content using linear and nonlinear editing tools to meet mission and customer requirements
  • Create and manage digital media assets including video, audio, and graphical elements for Digital Signage
  • Coordinate with customers and project leads to ensure timely completion of multimedia work orders
  • Archive and manage multimedia products in accordance with SOPs and security requirements
  • Maintain awareness of equipment functionality and report system or equipment issues to Government leads
  • Support multimedia operations during normal hours and provide on-call support as required


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • On-site at the Pentagon.
Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility; AND,
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience providing technical expertise in multimedia or video production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex multimedia production efforts, including planning, filming, and post-production editing
  • Ability to operate and maintain professional video production equipment (e.g., cameras, lighting, audio systems, teleprompters)
  • Experience with nonlinear video editing, audio editing, and digital media formatting/compression
  • Ability to create multimedia products from concept through final production, including scripting, editing, and visual effects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and project leads
  • Ability to follow SOPs for media handling, archiving, and work order tracking

PREFERRED

  • Experience with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition), Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with digital media asset management systems and archival processes
  • Experience supporting DoD or classified multimedia production environments
  • Knowledge of broadcast standards, video encoding formats, and streaming technologies
  • Experience supporting executive-level or high-visibility multimedia productions
