Job description

Our client, EAG, is a service-focused firm supporting companies across the energy and industrial sectors. They help clients solve complex operational, commercial, and technology challenges through practical expertise, disciplined execution, and trusted partnership.

As EAG continues to grow, they are expanding our presence beyond traditional upstream energy into adjacent marketsโ€”including midstream, renewables, mining, manufacturing, and companies supporting the broader energy and industrial ecosystem.

Position Summary

EAG is seeking a Multimedia Production Specialist to support the production of EAGโ€™s digital magazine, podcast, and broader multimedia content platform. Managed and mentored by EAGโ€™s Senior Multimedia Producer, this is a hands-on, execution-focused role for an energetic early-career creative who wants to learn, contribute immediately, and grow into a seasoned multimedia professional.

The ideal candidate brings practical audio, video, and design production skills, a strong work ethic, and the eagerness to learn a new industry from the ground up. Industry expertise is not required โ€” our senior team supplies the editorial substance and production standards. What matters is interest in learning the industry, reliability, coachability, attention to detail, and the drive to help ship a high-quality publication on a recurring schedule.

This role exists to expand the production capacity of our content team so that EAG can sustain a consistent monthly magazine, newsletter, and podcast cadence without compromising quality. Success requires strong organization, follow-through, responsiveness to feedback, and pride in polished, professional output.

Location: Houston, TX

Work Schedule: Hybrid, with in-office expectations Monday through Thursday

Supervisor: Senior Multimedia Producer

Key Responsibilities:

Support Multimedia Production

  • Assist the Senior Multimedia Producer in producing EAGโ€™s digital magazine, podcasts, video content, newsletters, and supporting multimedia assets.
  • Perform hands-on audio and video editing, including cutting podcast episodes, trimming and assembling video segments, adding graphics and lower-thirds, and preparing files for publication.
  • Produce and adapt graphics and layout elements for digital publishing across web, email, and social channels under the direction of the Senior Multimedia Producer.
  • Resize, reformat, and repurpose content assets to fit multiple channels, formats, and specifications while maintaining consistent brand and quality standards.
  • Help maintain and organize production files, media libraries, project assets, and version control so the team can work efficiently.
  • Provide production support on location and in-house studio shoots โ€” assisting contracted videographers with equipment setup, capturing secondary-angle footage and B-roll, managing releases and clip logging, and running location audio โ€” then owning the edit and post-production of the resulting footage.

Coordinate Production Workflow & Schedule

  • Help manage the production calendar and track content assets through each stage of the publishing workflow to keep the magazine and podcast on schedule.
  • Coordinate handoffs between the Senior Content Strategist, the Senior Multimedia Producer, and other contributors to ensure written, visual, and audio components come together on time.
  • Publish and schedule finished content within content management systems and digital publishing tools.
  • Monitor deadlines, flag risks early, and keep production tasks moving with minimal oversight.
  • Maintain accurate records of production status, asset locations, and next steps.

Learn, Grow, and Contribute

  • Learn EAGโ€™s brand standards, editorial voice, and production quality expectations, and apply them consistently across all work.
  • Develop familiarity with the energy, natural resources, industrial, and manufacturing sectors that EAGโ€™s content platform serves.
  • Participate in service line training events and be able to accurately represent EAG's core service lines in content and conversation.
  • Actively seek feedback, apply direction quickly, and continuously build technical and creative skills under the mentorship of the Senior Multimedia Producer.
  • Leverage available tools and technology, including AI-assisted production workflows, to increase efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Take on increasing responsibility over time as skills and judgment develop.

Collaborate Across EAG

  • Partner closely with the Senior Multimedia Producer and Senior Content Strategist to support a cohesive, high-quality publication.
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Sales Operations, and subject matter experts as needed to gather assets, information, and inputs for content.
  • Come prepared, communicate clearly, meet commitments, and respect the time of colleagues across the organization.
  • Represent EAG with professionalism, reliability, and a positive, collaborative attitude in every interaction.

Qualifications:

  • 1โ€“3 years of hands-on experience in multimedia production, digital media, video/audio editing, graphic design, or a related creative field (internships and freelance work count).
  • Working proficiency with audio and video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, or equivalent, and basic design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • A portfolio, reel, or samples demonstrating creative production ability โ€” polish matters more than scale.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing, content management systems, social media formats, and file preparation for multiple channels preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track multiple assets, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfort working with AI-assisted production and research tools while maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through.
  • Eagerness to learn a new industry and services; no prior energy or professional-services experience required.
  • Interest in or exposure to on-location and in-house studio production is a plus; formal videography experience is not required, as filming is supported by contracted specialists.
  • Associate or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is an energetic, hungry, and coachable early-career creative who wants to build a career in multimedia production and is excited to learn from a seasoned producer. This person takes pride in polished work, thrives on responsibility, and is reliable under deadline.

This person should be:

  • Hands-on and skilled in audio, video, and/or graphic production, with room and desire to grow.
  • Coachable and feedback-driven โ€” quick to apply direction and improve.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to keep projects moving without constant oversight.
  • Detail-oriented, with genuine pride in professional, high-quality output.
  • Curious and eager to learn EAGโ€™s industries and content standards.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where initiative is valued.
  • Collaborative, respectful of colleaguesโ€™ time, and a positive presence on the team.
  • Hungry, humble, and people smart โ€” someone who wants to grow, shares credit, and builds strong working relationships.
  • Aligned with EAG core values: dedicated, determined, collaborative, respectful, and trustworthy.

What Success Looks Like:

Within the first 60 days, the Multimedia Production Specialist will have learned EAGโ€™s brand standards and production workflows, become productive in day-to-day editing and asset preparation, and begun contributing directly to published magazine and podcast content under the Senior Multimedia Producerโ€™s direction.

Within six months, the role will reliably own recurring production tasks, keep the publishing calendar on track, and require less hands-on direction โ€” measurably increasing the teamโ€™s production capacity and helping sustain a consistent monthly cadence.

Within twelve months, the Multimedia Production Specialist will have grown into a trusted, increasingly independent contributor capable of taking on more complex production work and helping the content platform expand in reach and quality.
