The Marketing & Communications team at the New England Conservatory is seeking a Multimedia Production Co-Op to assist in the creation of digital media that promotes the Conservatory’s concerts, students, faculty, and community initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience producing video, and social media content and ventures into the rudiments of graphic design for a leading music institution in Boston.
Working closely with the Marketing & Communications staff and reporting to the Multimedia Producer, the co-op will support multimedia projects used across social media platforms, websites, and promotional campaigns. The role will also contribute to the planning and coordination of multimedia productions, helping ensure projects run smoothly from concept to final delivery. This position is ideal for students interested in digital storytelling, music and performing arts marketing, and multimedia production in a fast-paced arts environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with pre-production planning for multimedia projects, including developing and optimizing production schedules and timelines
Coordinate logistics for video and photo shoots, including location preparation, equipment organization, and scheduling talent or participants
Assist with video production & media coverage for events, interviews, and promotional content
Edit short-form & long-form video content for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
Support the creation & design of graphic assets for marketing campaigns and institutional storytelling
Organize and maintain the department’s digital media archive (photos, videos, and graphics)
Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to brainstorm creative multimedia ideas
Qualifications:
Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Multimedia Production, Media Studies, Film, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
Familiarity with videography and digital media production
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to help manage production schedules and deadlines
Basic knowledge of social media content creation and platform trends
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a creative team
Interest in music, performing arts, or arts administration preferred
Experience producing short-form video content for social media platforms preferred
