Summary of Job Duties:The Multimedia Production Assistant (PA) is a vital role for the audio and video team within the Office of Marketing and Communications. The PA is involved in all stages of the video and audio production process from podcast production and promotional videos to live shoots and video messages from leadership. They are also involved in the management of digital signage that is distributed throughout the buildings for the Sam M. Walton College of Business.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current student at the University of Arkansas pursuing a degree in Multimedia Storytelling and Production, videoand audioproduction,broadcast journalism, communications, marketing, Advertising/PR, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of video and photo production using a mirrorless camera, basic lighting, audio, and editing principals.
  • Experience using AdobePremiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve
  • Experience using Adobe Lightroom/Lightroom Classic
  • Basic use of Adobe After Effects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing professional audio and video
  • Experience in creating video graphics
  • Experience in managing digital signage
  • Experience in using basic AI editing tools in Adobe Suite

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Skilled and comfortable in behind-the-scenes camera work, positioning subjects in the video appropriately for the best audio and video possible
  • Knowledge of the podcasting medium including recording, editing, mixing and mastering episodes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to "interview" someone off-camera to create the best video work
  • Working knowledge of basic marketing principles
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, visual)
  • Strong ability to edit and check the quality of your work
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and maintain a multi-project load
