Position Summary
The Multimedia Producer is responsible for creating high-quality video, photography, and other multimedia content from concept through completion in support of Alabama Community College System (ACCS) initiatives statewide. This position performs scriptwriting, field and studio production, post-production editing, and content delivery for a wide range of instructional, recruitment, and marketing projects. Working closely with ACCS colleges, System Office divisions, internal staff, clients, and external partners, the Multimedia Specialist develops compelling visual content for use across websites, digital platforms, classrooms, businesses, and other public-facing channels. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Lead multimedia projects from concept through completion for ACCS clients and internal initiatives, including planning, scriptwriting, scheduling, budgeting, production, and final delivery.
  2. Produce and coordinate video and photography services for ACCS colleges, System Office divisions, and other ACCS stakeholders, including video production, photo shoots, editing, audio production, and final content preparation.
  3. Develop creative concepts and visual approaches for videos, photography, and other multimedia content that support ACCS instructional, recruitment, marketing, and public information goals.
  4. Assist in planning and executing special projects and high-visibility initiatives requiring multimedia support.
  5. Provide marketing and multimedia support to System Office divisions and to communications and marketing teams across the System through shared resources, consultation, and training.
  6. Complete final video edits, including color correction, audio mixing, graphics, and compositing effects, to ensure polished, professional-quality deliverables.
  7. Coordinate with internal staff, external partners, contractors, and vendors involved in production and post-production to ensure projects are completed on time and according to established standards.
  8. Assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, and organization of video and photography equipment, software, and related production resources.

Personal Leave
All full-time, part-time, or temporary employees who are employed by the State of Alabama on January 1, and who are stationed outside of Mobile and Baldwin Counties, are entitled to a personal leave day each year in lieu of the former Mardi Gras holiday. The System Office policy requires that employees schedule their personal leave day prior to scheduling any annual leave.

Retirement
The Alabama Community College System participates in the Retirement Systems of Alabama Teachers Retirement System. Teachers Retirement System is a state-mandated program where a percentage of your salary is withheld per pay period for an individual's retirement account. The percentage is determined by an employee's hire date and any prior participation in the Retirement Systems of Alabama.
Tier I (those with service credit prior to January 1, 2013): 7.5%
Tier II (those with service credit beginning on or after January 1, 2013): 6.2%

Tuition Waiver
