Multimedia Manager - Austin, TX/Remote

What are we looking for?

The Multimedia Manager is responsible for providing leadership for the end-to-end production of high-quality audio and visual media, including photography, videography, and audio production, including post-production editing, and delivery of final media assets as part of the creation of engaging training courses and supporting materials. 

Shift/Schedule: Typically, Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM with some weekend work to accommodate on location shoots or attendance at meetings.

What you'll do:

Team coordination

  • Supporting a team of multimedia designers to develop multimedia content for training programs.
  • Conducting regular one-on-ones, performance evaluations, and professional development planning.
  • Supporting a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
  • Coordinating with Creative Leadership to ensure timely delivery of projects in alignment with departmental priorities.
  • Assigning projects based on individual and team strengths, project complexity, and resource availability. 
  • Monitoring team workload and recommending use or contractor support when necessary.
  • Act as the Art Director on projects as needed.

Content guidance

  • Partnering with stakeholders (e.g. internal and external) and analyzing feedback (e.g. customer feedback, industry needs, business needs) to identify content development needs. 
  • Supporting the team in applying relevant curriculum and multimedia design frameworks to content.
  • Supporting team use of SCORM and internal course authoring tools or platforms as needed.
  • Promoting the exploration and integration of appropriate A.I. tools into the production workflow.
  • Reviewing and approving content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and instructional integrity.
  • Communicating updates, progress, and risks to stakeholders as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in photography, video production, post-production editing, and synthetic voice-over (VO) creation, supported by a strong online portfolio showcasing visual storytelling and creative problem-solving.
  • Expertise in visual design and production, with a solid understanding of design, animation, and the full content lifecycle, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom), with familiarity in After Effects, Microsoft Office, and Generative AI platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with professional production equipment, including photography, cinematography, lighting, production workflows, and deployment of efficient creative processes and technologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively, work cross-functionally, and maintain a customer-focused, quality-driven approach.
  • Organized and adaptable professional with experience using digital asset and project management tools such as Dropbox and Smartsheet, combined with strong technical, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and continuously learning, with the ability to travel up to 25%, and eligible to work remotely while residing legally in the United States.
  • This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States. 

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience using project tracking and management software and services. 
  • Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects, Final Cut pro, DaVinci Resolve or other video media.
  • Experience with sound design, audio effects and basic audio editing.
  • Experience using Slack for cross-functional team communication.
