Job Summary
The Multimedia Specialist leads the video production and photography efforts for both the System Office and the colleges that includes broadcast TV, radio, digital media and social media platforms. Specifically the position leads, coordinates and/or performs specialized and complex technical duties pertaining to the development, design and production of multimedia programs and other related items; plans, organizes and schedules all elements pertaining to video production; works with System Office/college staff and others to plan and determine production goals; determines and assembles necessary video, lighting, audio and other production equipment; records and edits video, graphics, sound and other media elements; and outputs video to correct format for playback on different channels. Utilizes and helps manage the in-house digital asset management system. Also responsible for in-house video production and photography to support System Office and colleges.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time
Job Duties:
Leads pre-production, production, and post editing of all video and some photography efforts.
Serves as a video producer providing technical, creative, and script writing services.
Oversees video media placement and storage, maintains software, creative shop, and hard drives full of video resources and uploads to various online websites.
Manages web-based video including transcribing, posting, and editing.
Provides training to college staff on all video production needs and methods.
Provides photography support at System Office and colleges. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Communications, electronic multi media, broadcast media, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Additional Skills Requested:
Proficient use of video editing software for Windows and Mac formats. Experience with a digital asset management system.
