Job description

Head of Creative | Family First

Tampa, FL

Role Overview

The head of creative will be the driving force behind the visual and conceptual output of our new motherhood program. While the senior marketing communications manager sets the overarching brand strategy, this role will bring that strategy to life through high-level creative vision and rigorous process management. This person will be the creative manager of the brand’s daily heartbeat—turning strategic goals into viral campaigns, stunning graphics, and high-production video and podcast content. This role reports to the senior marketing manager.

This is a leadership role designed for a "hands-on visionary" who loves the creative process as much as the final product. You will lead our creative team (design, copy, and video) from ideation to execution, ensuring that every asset—from a social media reel to a podcast cover—feels sophisticated, intentional, and deeply resonant with the modern mother. We are looking for someone who can take a strategic brief and transform it into a creative masterpiece that captures the "joy in the chaos."

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in creative direction, including significant time spent managing creative teams and complex production workflows.
  • High-Level Ideation: A proven ability to generate original, high-impact ideas for multi-channel campaigns, social media series, and multimedia content.
  • Mastery of Creative Direction: Experience directing a wide range of assets, including digital graphics, long-form video, and podcast branding, with an eye for "Modern Classic" aesthetics.
  • Creative Process Leadership: Expert skills in managing the creative pipeline—running brainstorms, setting production schedules, and ensuring the team meets deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Team Mentorship: A track record of elevating the work of graphic designers, videographers, and writers through clear, inspiring, and actionable feedback.
  • Lived Experience in Motherhood: A deep, personal connection to the maternal journey that allows you to instinctively know what will resonate with our target audience.

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Local to Tampa, FL: To lead on-site brainstorms and collaborate closely with the creative team in our Tampa hub.
    • Multimedia Versatility: Specific experience providing creative direction for podcasts (audio branding, promotional clips) and short-form video (TikTok/Reels).
    • Adaptability: The ability to pivot between "Quiet Luxury" visual standards and the practical, high-energy needs of a fast-growing digital brand.
    • Agency or In-House Management: Experience in a fast-paced environment where managing multiple creative projects simultaneously is the norm.

  • What We Offer

We offer a collaborative environment where your creative instincts are valued, and your management style can shape the culture of our team. We provide competitive non-profit compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a workplace that genuinely values the family-first mission and a supportive environment that respects work-life balance.

    To Apply

Please submit your resume, a link to your digital portfolio, and a cover letter describing your approach to leading a creative team through a major rebrand and how your personal perspective as a mother shapes your creative ideas.

    Location: Tampa, FL (On-site/Hybrid preferred)
