Position Summary Information
Duties
Athens State University invites applications for adjunct teaching positions. These positions are part-time, non-tenured positions, teaching one to two undergraduate classes per semester. Previous teaching is preferred, but not required. Minimum requirements include a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. Payment is based upon a per course fee as determined by the University.
  • Developing and teaching undergraduate, upper-level courses in multimedia and 3D animation.
  • Developing and teaching graduate courses in virtual environments, 3D animation, history of multimedia, art entrepreneurship, and individual studio.

Qualifications
Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline. An earned MFA in Art or professional equivalency.
Salary Schedule
Based upon a per course fee as determined by the University. No benefits are offered for this temporary position.

Approximately 3,000 students each semester have selected Athens State because of its neighborly environment where over 50 majors and degree programs are offered, with courses taught by a supportive and exceptional faculty.
