Job Description

This role focuses on multicraft maintenance across a wide range of production equipment, including conveyors, corrugators, cutters, and wrappers. You will perform reactive and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues up to 480V, and support low-voltage systems such as sensors and relays. Experience with PLCs, particularly Allen-Bradley, is highly valued as you help ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive maintenance on a variety of production machines, including conveyors, corrugators, cutters, and wrappers to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems operating up to 480V, ensuring safe and reliable operation of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage components such as sensors, relays, and control circuits.
  • Conduct weekly preventive maintenance (PMs) on equipment to identify potential issues and extend equipment life.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled systems, with a focus on Allen-Bradley platforms, to resolve control and automation issues.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics, to ensure smooth equipment operation.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks when needed to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Contribute to facilities maintenance by addressing building and utility-related maintenance needs as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders, share technical knowledge, and support a safe and efficient maintenance culture.
  • Demonstrate leadership by taking ownership of tasks, communicating effectively, and supporting continuous improvement in maintenance practices.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in multicraft maintenance, including both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience working with systems up to 480V.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing low-voltage components such as sensors and relays.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment on a regular schedule.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
  • Demonstrated skills in PLC troubleshooting, with a preference for experience on Allen-Bradley systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work around heavy industrial equipment such as conveyors, corrugators, cutters, and wrappers, and regularly use tools and technologies including electrical test equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic components, PLC systems (especially Allen-Bradley), and welding and fabrication tools. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring adherence to safety procedures, appropriate work attire, and personal protective equipment while performing maintenance tasks on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
