Job description

Multicraft Maintenance Technician will support maintenance and fabrication activities in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position requiring strong welding skills, fabrication experience, and the ability to perform a variety of general maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with small components and welding in tight or difficult-to-access spaces. You will play a key role in shaping how early designs become production-ready platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general mechanical and industrial maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
  • Complete welding repairs and fabrication projects as needed.
  • Weld small components and assemblies, often in tight or confined spaces.
  • Read and interpret basic drawings, sketches, and measurements to support fabrication and repairs.
  • Install mechanical components and route conduit and enclosures.
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve build issues and improve manufacturability.
  • Help define and document repeatable assembly processes.
  • Support the transition from prototype to repeatable production.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and mechanical components.
  • Assist with installation, modification, and repair of machinery and facility equipment.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience required; 10+ years preferred.
  • Strong, hands-on welding experience required.
  • Must be proficient in welding; specifically MIG welding
  • Experience with metal fabrication, fitting, cutting, grinding, and related processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
