Title: Multi-Family Sales Estimator

Department: Sales- Multi-Family

Pay Status: Exempt

Reports To: Estimation Manager

JOB SUMMARY

As an estimator you will read & decipher plans, prepare take-offs, confirm specifications and review multi-family projects with the Sales Team and Director of Multi-Family Sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • Frequently required to sit, bend, reach, and type
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Review provided estimates to apply current pricing based on architectural drawings, landscape drawings, interior drawings and specifications. Typical items include residential door hardware, bath accessories, fire extinguishers, mirrors, wire shelving and mailboxes. 
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence and other project specific information
  • Apply all costs to the quote template and keep record of quotes from suppliers 
  • Misc. duties as needed
  • Assist with project submittals as needed to ensure correct model numbers
  • Responsible for relaying sales strategies for alternate products to the sales team.

  • Ability to analyze workload and complete many different tasks or projects at the same time
  • Makes sound decisions based on experiences and clear information
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized 
  • Must be able to read and interpret Construction prints
  • Must be proficient in excel

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in door hardware or construction related field.
