Job description

Core4ce is seeking a MuleSoft engineer to collaborate with our MuleSoft architect to design, develop, and implement integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anytime Platform for the Defense Health Agency (DHA).  In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to connect applications, data, and devices, ensuring seamless workflows and improved business operations.  We seek individuals with a strong customer-centric approach that has experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Federal customers.  

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure & Cluster Administration: Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and patching of MuleSoft runtime servers and high-availability clusters across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
  •      Server Health & Performance: Proactively monitor runtime node and cluster performance, manage resource utilization, execute routine health checks, and ensure optimal throughput and load balancing.
  • Integration Design & Development: Design and develop APIs, integrations, and services using Mulesoft Anypoint Studio and related technologies.
  • API Lifecycle Management: Create, publish, and maintain reusable APIs using Mulesoft best practices.
  •     Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues in Mulesoft integrations.
  •       Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  •     Documentation: Develop white papers, security and compliance documents, and maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, configurations, and APIs.
  •     Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including API security, OAuth, and data encryption.
  •     Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with Mulesoft updates, emerging trends, and best practices in integration and API management.

Requirements

  •       Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  •       Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
  •       3-5 years of hands-on experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform.
  •       Strong proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and Runtime Manager (including on-premises and standalone runtime management
  •       Experience with Mulesoft connectors, RAML, DataWeave, and flow design. 
  •       Proficient in Java, XML, JSON, and RESTful API design principles.
  •       Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, such as CI/CD pipelines.
  •       Certifications: Mulesoft Certified Developer or Architect (preferred).
  •          Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •       Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  •       Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification

Preferred Qualifications

  •      Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  •      Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  •      Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and middleware concepts.
  •      Knowledge of other integration platforms or tools is a plus.
  •      Experience working with DoD/Federal clients, ideally in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
  •      Experience supporting ATO packages and the RMF process
  •      Proficient in Zero Trust principles and architectures
