Quality Control Inspector

Location: Rockford, IL

We're looking for an experienced Quality Control Inspector who takes pride in precision, attention to detail and ensuring quality products leave our facility.

What You'll Do
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, final, and receiving inspections.

  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.

  • Inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment.

  • Use calipers, dial micrometers, dial indicators, plug gages, thread gages, and other inspection tools.

  • Verify product compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and customer requirements.

  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.

  • Identify and communicate quality concerns to the Quality Manager.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain a high-quality manufacturing environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 2–5 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints is required.

  • Experience using dial micrometers and dial indicators is preferred.

  • Proficiency using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, plug gages, and thread gages.

  • CMM experience is a plus but not required—we're willing to train the right candidate.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must possess the visual acuity necessary to perform detailed inspection work, including close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
