Only current permanent Maintenance Supervisor I (Telephones) and Maintenance Supervisors II are eligible to apply. (Already applied need not apply.)

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will provide supervisory oversight to Level 1 Maintenance Supervisors within the Command Center, along with performing Incident Desk Coordinators duties on the off tours.
In addition, other duties include processing and distribution of incident, accident and other reports and updates as necessary. The selected candidate will be required to work off tour and operate from either of the EMD Command Centers located at the OCC or 130 Livingston Street as necessary or as directed by management.

II Salary Range:
1st Year      $112,448
2nd Year     $114,057
3rd Year      $118,067

License Requirement
A motor vehicle driver licenses valid in the State of New York with no restrictions which would preclude the performance of Maintenance Supervisor (Telephones) work. This license must be maintained for the duration of employment.

Education and Experience:

Five years of full-time satisfactory experience in the maintenance, installation and repair of telephone equipment or electrically operated alarm equipment; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

  • Knowledge of Operations and Safety Practices and Procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in utilizing a desktop PC and Microsoft Office Suite

Other Information:
Pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the "Commission").

To be eligible for consideration for a new role, current MTA employees must complete at least one year of service in their current role prior to applying. This requirement applies to candidates applying to internal/lateral postings within the same title. Additionally, eligibility to interview is contingent upon maintaining a satisfactory record of job performance, attendance, and disciplinary conduct.
